Going back down 'retro' lane ....................

I don't know about you but I can never get enough of retro throwbacks. I'm not ashamed to say it but I do like a little bit of retro once in a while. Thus I like blogging about things I discover.

Division for rooms: 101

Nowadays it is often found that a lot of spaces serve more than one function due to the growing needs of families and also workplaces. Open-plan rooms are a magnet for splitting spaces.

Dividers could be made out of a solid brick wall, a glass partition, a piece of furniture or it could even be a hanging feature. The main theme is that it demarcates the spaces used for different functions clearly without disturbing the flow of the design.

The way I see it, a room divider is anything that makes a room work better for you when you zone it. It could be a snug corner for relaxing, a  space used for your home office or a kitchen split between the cooking and dining areas etc.

Lost in space, so to speak!!!

Today marks the 335th birthday anniversary of Edmond Halley, the famous British  astronomer, mathematician and physicist.

The one thing I recall about him is Halley's Comet. He was able to successfully calculate the orbit of comets

So in my usual manner, I have come up with some designs to mark his birthday based, of course, on astronomy. They are mainly kid's bedrooms but are quite striking. Gives them a feel of being 'lost in space' ~ so to speak!!!.
