DECOREX 2011 ~ Oh what a day (Part 2)

So here's the 2nd and final part of my blogpost on Decorex 2011

Now let me not forget the wonderful seminars held in the theatre on Sunday before I get too carried away again with my photomage of Decorex 2011. I had set my Blackberry calender alarms so that I wouldn't miss out on the Seminars I wanted to attend. I really enjoyed "Confessions of an Interior Designer" by BIID Speaker & Interior Designer, Dan Hopwood. I wouldn't have missed 'In conversation with Nicky Haslam' for all the exhibits at Decorex. He was such a delight and priviledge to listen to.

The Rug Company 's interiors..................

These lovely prints were showcased by Biden Designs. Very rich 'Guilded Washi' Japanese wallpaper.

I fell in love instantly with the interior displays by Andrew Martin Furniture. They had like a small apartment under their roofed stand. Their furniture and accessories are my kind of thing. They also reminded me of a furniture shop I visited in Lille earlier this year (dezinekonnections.blogspot.com/2011/06/lille-bit-of-chic.html).

Notice the wallpaper design of old suitcases below.

Crate shelves. So cool. They are now seeing a revival with many alternative uses. Crates are back in vogue.

I couldn't resist the gorgeous fabrics hanging in James Hare's stand. I ordered some samples of their fabulous silk fabrics which I received in the post last week. Yaay!!!!

These are some bespoke chairs.

Love the touches of red here .....................

I love this setting by Alsan Furnishing. Am loving the natural colours, the fabrics and all.

Munna designs again. The armchair below is called 'Cutie' by the way. I tried and tested it ~ very snug and comfy.

Chandeliers from the Evitavonni stand. Pretty awesome.

This is Hyde Bespoke Furniture based in my very home county of  Hertfordshire.

It was all about doorknobs at Chloe Alberry. I was taken aback (nicely) by their many, many sorts of doorknobs. Did a post previously on this particular accessory featuring Chloe Alberry's cricket ball doorknobs (http://dezinekonnections.blogspot.com/2011/07/finishing-touches-door-knobs.html).

Harlequin's Champagne fountain

Fascinating prints on these huge lampshades hanging in Home & Gardens

Another games company, called the Billiard Room. The table below is a new design called 'Curve' made out of gloss veneer and Rosewood. I wouldn't mind owning one !!!

This one is called 'Mesh' made out of steel

People enjoying small tubs of ice cream from the ice-cream cart sponsored by 'And So To Bed' I had finished mine by then~ honeycomb ~ so delicious!!!

Finally am ending this part with a featured display from Nicky Haslam. The bedside lamp and table wowed me.

}My take on Decorex 2011, again! ~ Roll on Decorex 2012. Can't wait to blog all about it~
